TGI Friday 2017
It's that time of year again when the mad rush of summer is over and warm autumnal days and cooler nights have taken over. Down in Calvia, the council have once again promoted an 'out of season' food festival that's designed to show off the talents of the area's gastronomy sector and keep the visitors and locals alike well fed.
Each Friday in October a number of the 43 participating restaurants will be putting on a splendid 3 course meal with a drink included for the extremely economical price of €12, €14 or €16 which I think is extremely good value. The meals can be taken at lunch or dinner and there will be special menus for kids and those with allergies.
As usual a different area of Calvia will host the event each Friday and you can find all the details of the areas, restaurants, menus, prices and times on a handy downloadable PDF in English – just click the link.
As you'll see there's a whole range of food on offer with cuisine and flavours from all over Spain and beyond which should satisfy all tastes, and at those prices you can't really go wrong.
Our photos come from the official announcement of the event last week where a showcooking display was organised and as my mother in law would say, 'the food looked good enough to eat!'
Enjoy your meals.
