Baroque Orchestra of Seville
The 57th annual Pollensa Festival starts this weekend in the wonderful venue that is the cloister of the Santo Domingo convent in the centre of the town.
Started in 1962 by the distinguished British violinist Philip Newman its aim was to provide a varied programme of classical music and over the years has featured artists of the calibre of Yehudi Menuhin, Monserrat Caballé, and Michael Nyman.
This Saturday, 4th August, The Baroque Orchestra of Seville kick off the 2018 edition at 10pm when they perform 'Tutti Vivaldi,' a programme dedicated to the works of the great Venetian composer, Antonio Vivaldi. Stirring stuff to start the festival in a perfect setting with tickets costing €25 or €30 on the night.
