Hotel Son Trobat Wellness & SPA
How do you fancy a get-away-from-it-all weekend break where you can pamper yourself all day and enjoy great food and company every evening? At the Hotel Son Trobat Wellness & Spa just outside Sant Llorenç des Cardassar and surrounded by beautiful countryside stretching for mile after mile, you can find total relaxation.
Dating back to 1845 this typical old Mallorcan stone building is now a splendid country hotel and spa. With 45 rooms and suites it's big enough to have some superb facilities, but small enough to ensure personalised customer service for its guests.
I sourced a weekend break there for 3 nights starting on the 8th March. A double room with breakfast included for two people will cost €365 and for that you not only get all the standards like heating, A/C, phone, Sat TV, safe, and mini-bar, but also luxury necessities like Wi-Fi and pillow menu! Make mine an extra-soft duck down, allergy free, with a topping of Egyptian cotton please.
Comfy though the rooms are, you'll want to go for the ultimate relax or work out in the SPA with sauna and Turkish bath, Gym, tennis court, pool or bicycles all of which are free to use for guests. Even better, the pool is heated so you can swim during this March weekend, and if you fancy some super duper treatments in the SPA they're available at extra cost.
Parking is free at Son Trobat, though you may want to make a short taxi ride to Sant Llorenç for a meal out with drinks. However, with an excellent bar and restaurant on site where you can dine inside or alfresco on the terrace you may just want to stay 'at home.'
You'll find the early March weather chilly at night and in a morning, but warming up with the sun during the day – so layer your outfits – which make it ideal for outdoor activities like hiking, cycling (remember they're free at Son Trobat) or riding. It's also a great time to see the towns and villages around the area when they're less crowded and driving and parking is a breeze.
