YolanDa Brown plays Alcudia

The joy of sax

The last concert of this summer's Alcudia Jazz Festival takes place this Saturday night and it features the rather good British saxophonist YolanDa Brown. Young Yolanda holds the unique honour of winning two Mobo awards in consecutive years in the Best Jazz Category!

She'll be promoting her latest album 'Love Politics War,' which according to critics is a masterly mix of Jazz Reggae and Soul and which entered the UK Jazz charts at number one with a bullet.

The album is YolanDa's take on the current state of the world, its political tensions, protests and wars but with the underlying message that love can conquer everything.

You may or may not have heard her work before with the likes of Diana Krall, The Temptations, Billy Ocean, Julian Marley, or the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra. If not just listen to our video, she's really good and has a great band too!

The concert's at the Alcudia Auditorium on Saturday 28th September at 21:00 and tickets cost €18 on the door.
