This quiet, relaxing resort is centred around three soft sandy coves or Calas in Spanish dotted along a rugged coastline, Cala Antena, Cala Domingos Gran (the largest at 100 m) and finally Cala Domingos Petit.
All have facilities and a choice of water sports but most are accessible by quite a steep decent – so not the best resort if your mobility is impaired. All the calas are connected by the Calas Express; a small tourist train that runs regularly throughout the resort, or walk the paths along the beautiful coastline.
Loved by all ages the resort is, in the main, fairly laid back, although lively bars and a couple of nightclubs ensure those who want to, can dance ‘til dawn! The Centro Commercial is the heart of the resort. It has most of the shops, bars and restaurants and is the centre of night-time activities and with a couple of safe children’s play areas it’s a great place for the kids too!
Families visiting the resort will love the addition of child-centred attractions such as the small zoo, bird sanctuary and a small fun fair. A great day out for all ages is the nearby Caves del Drach. For those who like shopping, reputedly the best market on Majorca is held at Felanitx each Sunday – so if you like to haggle, make it a must do on your holiday list!
